Asia Argento, born in Rome to a household that comprises directors and actors worked in both areas. When she was nine, Asia Argento made her acting debut in Sergio Cittis Sogni e bisogni. In 1988 the film of Michele Soavi's The Church was directed by Michele Soavi and she played part of the character Cristina Comencini's Zoo. Close Friends (written and directed by Michele Placido) was when Asia's acting career truly started to blossom. The roles she played changed from being very young before becoming more mature. It was a huge success during the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma (1996) and The Stendhal Sydrome are the two other movies she made with her famous father. The Phantom of the Opera is her third movie she has made with her father. The others being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's deeply absorbed and dramatic style is well utilized in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a Nozze in 1993. was a co-star in the film Perdiamoci di Vista in which she played Arianna, a physically disabled girl. This was an intricate and difficult character that earned she an award from David di Donatello Award for the most outstanding actress . Patrice Chereau was the director. Queen Margot in the film, and she also had a role as a physically disabled girl in the film. In 1995, Asia worked alongside Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion, for which she received a prize from David di Donatello. In 1994 Asia turned her hand to directing and turned out two film shorts: Prospettive In 1996, she produced a documentary about her father and, in 1998, she directed a documentary about the cult director Abel Ferrara, Abel/Asia (1998), which was awarded an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia debuted as a director of feature in Scarlet Diva (2000). In the film, she also starred and authored the screenplay. The movie was released on May 20 on the 20th of May in Italy as well as around the globe. The film was honoured during the Williamsburg Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou, the first of her two daughters, was born in January 2001. In 2002, she was featured in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action film featuring Vin Diesel. Asia is the author of several short stories, that were published in a variety of magazines.
